Amanda Knox murder trial’s closing arguments
November 22nd, 2009 - 9:46 pm ICT by Aishwarya Bhatt ( 3 comments )Perugia, Nov 22 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The prosecutor in the Amanda Knox murder trial delivered a lengthy seven-hour long closing argument in the case in which he said that the main motive for the brutal murder was hatred and a sense of revenge.
It may be recalled that, Amanda Knox, was a former University of Washington student who was studying abroad in Italy, and she fatally stabbed her British roommate to death in retaliation during a drug-fueled sex game.
Lead prosecutor Giuliano Mignini said that Knox, in compliance with her ex-boyfriend and co-defendant Raffaele Sollecito and a third man convicted in a separate trial last year killed her British room-mate, Meredith Kercher under “the fumes of drugs and possibly alcohol.” Knox and Sollecito tried to cover up their crime by staging a burglary, he contended.
“Amanda had the chance to retaliate against a girl who was serious and quiet,” Mignini said. “She had harbored hatred for Meredith, and that was the time when it could explode. The time had come to take revenge on that smug girl.”
Throughout the court proceedings, Amanda Knox appeared quiet tensed and worried, as if the jury was to convict her then she could end up facing a life –term. However there is still some time for the jury to decide, as the verdict would possibly come in early December.

In the second paragraph of this piece you flat-out state Amanda “fatally stabbed her British roommate.”
I take issue with that statement. She is indeed on trial for a crime but nothing has been proven nor will it ever be proven because SHE DIDN’T DO IT.
Even if you are of the opinion that she is guilty it is irresponsible journalism to state it in a declarative fashion as you did. I am appalled that this was even published

Fantastic reporting!
It is refreshing to see that not every journalist can be bought by the Knox/Mellas clan.
They had the hide to try to pervert the cause of justice by hiring a PR firm to deceive the public into thinking that Amanda Knox had no involvement in the murder of Meredith Kercher.

Dalia…How do you KNOW she didn’t do it, unless you were THERE? That’s a ridiculous statement.
