Amanda Beard’s Memoir Coming In 2012

Dec 15, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Ace Olympic swimmer and gold medal winner Amanda Beard is going to add a new feather in her cap of achievements but this time it is not in water. She is presently working on a memoir that lays bare the dark phase of her life when she hit a rock bottom with her eating disorders and alcohol and drug addiction. The swimming sensation who is now 29 years old won gold medals in Olympics in 1996 and 2004. She said that her writing “will help others, especially high school and college-aged women, who may be dealing with some of the same issues.” The memoir titled “In the Water They can’t See You Cry” will be published in 2012 as it has been reported.
The memoir will be published before Amanda Beard participates in the 2012 games that will take place in London. Evan Morgenstein, her manager is assisting her in composing the memoir. The memoir will be published by Touchstone. The book will reveal some of the hitherto unknown facets of her life. It will narrate how she turned a mother from a wild child who did not flow any rules. Now she is busy raising her son who is just one year old. The training for the 2012 games is also on.
Apart from swimming Amanda Beard had a brief stint with showbiz world as well. In 2007 she posed for the famous Playboy magazine in skimpy outfits. However, she has left those days behind and wants to concentrate on her life and career these days as she said in a recent interview.
