Oct.22 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Ali Wise, the former publicity director of the fashion house Dolce and Gabbana, was fired following the allegations brought against her regarding the SpoofCard debacle.

The SpoofCard, though it has a kind of a funny name, doesn’t remain funny if put to inappropriate use. It is a service that allows the caller to change his phone number into whatever they want it to be shown as. The application may be downloaded in the phone of the user. Calls can also be placed by the user through the card’s website. The SpoofCard is legal in most places.

Ali Wise, however, put it to certain gravely illegal uses. She used the SpoofCard to hack into the voice-mail accounts of the current fiances of her ex-lovers. She did this by changing her own number to match the number she was calling. The recipient phone automatically granted her access to it’s voice-mail account, not realizing that it is not the original number.

Ali had tampered with the voice-mail accounts of a number of celebrities. Her targets included the designer Nina Freudenburger, who is allegedly the present girlfriend of her ex-lover John Deutcsh, a music executive. She started with this as there was already an ugly battle raging between the two of them after she started suspecting that John was dating Nina. She also suspected that Nina was having a fling with her former boyfriend Jason Pomeranc. Nina’s friends brushed off the assumption saying that there was nothing going on.

Ali had hacked into Nina’s account over seven hundred times. She did not stop at that, but also deleted a lot of the messages that she reportedly did not like. She has been fired from her company following her misconduct.
