London, Feb 17 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Designer Alexander McQueen hanged himself in a wardrobe, in his apartment on the eve of his mother’s funeral. These details were given at the coroner’s inquest. Coroner’s official Lynda Martindill said at the inquest at Westminster Coroners Court that Alexander McQueen died from asphyxiation and hanging.
Prior to his apparent suicide, he had spoken about his loss at the social networking and the micro blogging site Twitter. He had posted several tweets, which expressed his grief at his mother’s death. He was very sad at his mother’s death, and since he couldn’t bear the loss any further, so he committed suicide. His body was found in the armoire at his London apartment, and his sister, Janet formally identified it.
After Alexander McQueen’s death, another problem surfaces which is of the succession issue. The fashion world suffered a huge loss after his apparent suicide, but the fashion world is coming to terms with a bigger question, that who is going to take over his company now. Versace’s company had faced the same scenario, when he was gunned down at the Miami Beach, but his very stylish and talented sister Donatella stepped in, and took the reins of the company in her hands.
