Nov 14, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Phoenix Suns star Steve Nash and wife Alejandra Nash became proud parents of their first son this Friday. The uplifting news was followed by the announcement by the two time NBA MVP that he and his wife are splitting. He told the media that he and his wife had been living separately for several months now and both of them were committed to raise their three children in the most positive and nurturing way possible. The weekend turned out to be a roller coaster ride for the fans of Steve Nash as the point guard scored 28 points in the game against Sacramento Kings on the same day as the birth of his son

The couple also have twin daughters Bella and Nola who are presently 6-years-old. Steve Nash has said in a statement about his personal life that he wishes the best future for Alejandra Nash and added that his only objective presently is to ensure that the children understand how much they are loved by their parents. Describing the moment as bittersweet, he revealed that he and his wife have been together for 5 years. He also said that he and his wife will try their best to help the young ones cope with their parent’s separation. He also requested the media to allow him and his family privacy during these times.

Though the Phoenix Suns’ officials were aware of the birth of Steve Nash’s son on Friday, the TV and Radio broadcasters were asked not to mention it. Steve Nash also left the locker room before the media were allowed in on Friday.
