Daleville, Dec 13 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A Daleville couple Albert and Drena George got a huge surprise when they won the $14 million jackpot in the Hoosier lottery. However after taking the lottery cash option, they were richer by $6.1 million.

The couple had purchased their lottery ticket at the Gas America on West Commerce Road in Daleville. They are quite regular buyers of lottery tickets and they typically buy Hoosier lottery tickets on Sunday and Thursday.

Drena got the good news that they had won the lottery on Thanksgiving morning. It certainly turned out to be a very lucky Thanksgiving for the couple. “When I went to wake Albert up, he thought I had dropped the turkey and needed help,” Drena George said. “And then he didn’t believe me when I told him we won the lottery.”

Unfortunately Albert’s father had died on Monday and he never had the chance to be happy about the fact that his son won $14 million in the Hoosier lottery. “He’s looking down on us saying, ‘Why didn’t this happen a few years ago?’” Albert George said.
