Alaska Teacher Killer Wolves Gunned Down

Anchorage, Alaska, March 20, (THAINDIAN NEWS) On Monday, the two suspected wolves who killed an Alaskan teacher were gunned down by the state department of Fish and Game. The officials were in a search of the two wolves and on Monday they were shot dead.
The wolves had attacked and killed a 32 year old teacher named Candice Berner while she was jogging at the outskirts of the Alaskan village’s Chignik Lake. Her body was discovered by the villagers on Mar 8. According to reports, it was found surrounded by animal foot marks which the state police said were that of wolves as no other carnivorous animals are active in that part. A later autopsy report confirmed that the lady was killed by some animal.
Since then, the officials of Fish and Game had undertaken a search operation for the wolves in the Chignik Lake area. However, the hunt was disrupted by bad weather which started getting better on Monday when the department as able to trace down two wolves. According to the spokeswoman of Fish and Game Jennifer Yuhas, the two wolves were gunned down after similarities were found between them and the description that was provided to the department of the killer wolves. The department has stopped the hunt for any more wolves.
The killing of Candice Berner by the wolves is one of its kinds in the last fifty years in the United States. According to reports, the wolves had become quite aggressive in these parts for some time now which was gradually becoming a huge threat for young children as well as other residents in this area.
