June 2, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): Mustafa Abu al-Yazid, the No.3 male in the hierarchy of Al-Qaida, has been liquidated in an American missile assault in Pakistan’s tribal areas in the last two weeks. His family has also been reportedly bumped off in the assault. Mustafa is the influential male, who is also the terror organization’s banker.

The American security officials have confirmed that Mustafa, who is considered to be a close relative of Osama Bin Laden, has been exterminated in a drone assault. His demise has also been verified by terrorist websites. The terrorist websites have labeled the demise of Mustafa as the obtainment of martyrdom by him and have warned ominously that his demise will only worsen the status of America in Afghanistan and Iraq, two countries in which there is a sizeable American military presence.

An American representative has mentioned to the Los Angeles Times that Mustafa’s death is the cruelest blow to Al-Qaida as he was responsible for operational planning and the procurement of funds. American security bureaucrats have also declared that his demise has copiously diminished the potency of the ability of Al-Qaida to fight against America.

The LA Times has mentioned that the FBI has stated that Mustafa was the man, who has transmitted finances via Dubai for Mohammad Atta, Marwan al Shehri and Wali al Shehri. These were three of the deadly 9/11 hijackers, who caused massive carnage by flying an airplane into the WTC twin towers and the Pentagon.

Mustafa was previously a constituent of the Islamic Jihad movement in Egypt and had to spend time in an Egyptian prison over his involvement in the 1981 liquidation of Egyptian President, Anwar Saadat.

Mustafa was al-Qaida’s chief medium to Osama bin Laden and Zawahiri. Mustafa had concealed himself subsequent to the calamitous 9/11 outrages. He floated up only in May 2007 during a 45-minute dialogue on the terrorist al-Sabah website, in which he was presented as the head of al-Qaida’s operations in Afghanistan.
