Airline loses $50,000 worth of Giorgio Gucci’s luggage

Sep 23 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Giorgio Gucci lost his luggage on a US Airways flight to Philadelphia. 



Gucci who is the grandson of the renowned fashion designer was going to Philadelphia to testify about the dangers of fake goods.

However when Gucci got down to his destination, he realized that his luggage containing $50,000 worth of vintage Gucci bags. The luggage also contained Gucci’s grandfather vintage Gucci bag for Gucci’s grandmother. Among the things lost in the luggage are custom made clothes and pictures of him, which were going to be used for an upcoming documentary about him.

The loss left the fashion heir without clothes and he had to buy a $450 suit to appear before Congress on Thursday. Gucci was making the trip to Philadelphia from Madrid. Officials of US Airways say they have launched an investigation to the issue and will require Gucci to help in tracking his luggage. US Airways said that, “We are investigating and working with him to get the items returned.”

Gucci is set to launch his Giorgio C. Cognac on Wednesday at the Pierre. The House of Gucci was founded in 1905. The Gucci family is renowned for their designs. Giorgio Gucci threatened to sue his cousin, Elisabetta Gucci for trademark infringement.
