Aircraft crashes near Winter Haven, FL, airport, one dead
February 26th, 2010 - 1:07 am ICT by BNO NewsWINTER HAVEN, FLORIDA (BNO NEWS) – An aircraft crashed in front of the West Haven, Florida airport on Thursday morning, killing one person and leaving one injured, Polk County Sheriff’s Office announced.
The plane crashed shortly after taking off from the Winter Haven airport under unknown circumstances. There were two individuals aboard. One died at the scene and the other was taken to a hospital.
The plane fell in the area of U.S. highway 92 West and Palmetto Drive northwest. FAA is conducting an investigation for revealing the causes of the accident.
