Pontiac, July 13, (THAINDIAN NEWS) 36-year-old Aimee L. Sword was sentenced 9 years to 30 years in jail on Monday after she pleaded guilty to having sex with her 14-year-old biological son. The lady had given up her son for adoption when he was just few days old but tracked him over the internet on 2008. A resident of Waterford Township, Aimee L. Sword had pleaded guilty of one count of first-degree criminal sexual conduct in a deal with prosecutors. The sentence was read out by the judge in the Oakland County Circuit Court. Aimee L. Sword apologized during her sentencing in the Court for her sexual misconduct.

As per reports, Aimee L. Sword received regular updates every year from her son’s adoptive parents who not only informed her of her son’s well being but also sent her his photographs. However, Aimee L. Sword did not receive a new photograph of her son as he turned 14 in 2008. It is only after this that Aimee L. Sword took to social networking website to track her son. On Monday at the Oakland County Circuit Court, the lawyer of Aimee L. Sword, Mitchell Ribitwer said that when she saw the photograph of her son in the Facebook, then “it wasn’t a mother-son relationship, it was a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship” that touched her. As per the lawyer, Aimee L. Sword still is trying to find the reason she felt that way for her son adding that the lady is “going to get some counseling”.

Aimee L. Sword was originally charged by the prosecutors with four counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, but she pleaded guilty of one count of first-degree. She claimed that she had had sex with the boy once. The police however had mentioned that the son had testified that the couple had sex both in Grand Rapids and in Waterford Township.
