Dec.03, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Maurice Clemons, who was accused of killing four police officers at a coffee shop in Lakewood is reported to be dead. The accused was shot dead by a Seattle police officer as the cop was checking on a stolen vehicle. The incident which took place in the Rainier Valley, brought an end to a two day search process that was launched to nab Clemons, who reportedly had murdered the four cops in a cold blooded manner.

Seattle Assistant Police Chief Jim Pugel later added that the officer who shot the suspect was patrolling the area when he found the car with its engine running and later it became clear that the car was stolen. It has been revealed by investigators that after a while, the suspect approached the officer when he was asked to stop by the cops. Maurice ended up being shot after he refused to follow any orders and attempted to run behind the patrol car, which ultimately resulted in his death.

Police officers have also implied that Maurice was armed with a gun that belonged to one of the officers who were killed by him, although the officer who shot him remained unharmed. Meanwhile, Pierce County sheriff’s spokesman Ed Troye has said that around three of the suspect’s accomplices have already been arrested for helping him by providing him different kinds of assistance. At the same time, it has also been added that more arrests in the same regard are also expected in the near future. Maurice also had a comprehensive criminal record and supposedly suffered from mental disorders.
