SUWANNEE COUNTY, FLORIDA (BNO NEWS) — The Florida Department of Law enforcement on Sunday canceled an Amber Alert for an unknown boy who was placed in the trunk of a vehicle.

A 9 to 10-year-old white male, whose identity was not released, was last seen at a rest area on Interstate 10 eastbound near the Suwannee and Columbia County line when he was seen being placed in the trunk of a vehicle by an unknown white female. Authorities decided to issue an Amber Alert.

About one hour later, officials said the boy had been found. “He’s fine,” an official with the Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office said. “It was just a misunderstanding.”
