A Couple Used Jury Box To Smuggle Drugs

Felisha TrujilloJan 31, (THAINDIAN NEWS) According to Pueblo County authorities, a 22-year-old woman, Felisha Trujillo, who is under police custody seemingly hatched a daring plan with her boy friend Phil Martinez. After she came to know about her sentencing, she asked her boy friend, a 26-year-old guy to drop a bag of narcotics in the courtroom on Wednesday which she would retrieve later. Officials came to know about it as Felisha Trujillo and Phil Martinez discussed the matter over a monitored telephone.

On Wednesday, Phil Martinez allegedly kept the drugs inside the jury box. As the officials had already heard their phone conversation, they monitored the issue. Phil Martinez reached the courtroom at around 11 a.m. Detectives watched as the 26-year-old dropped the drugs and was arrested when he tried to leave the spot. The drug is reported to be a Schedule II drug.

He was arrested on charges of unlawful distribution of a Schedule II drug, possession of the drug, criminal attempt of introducing contraband as well as allegation of criminal conspiracy. Felisha Trujillo is also charged of the same offenses of possession of Schedule II drug and unlawful way of possessing narcotics.

It is said, Schedule II drugs have very high risk for abuses. However, it is supposed to have medical uses in the United States. It contains opiates, depressants, stimulants and can lead to psychological and even physical dependence. Some of its examples include morphine, cocaine, oxycodone etc. However, the authorities have not yet said what Phil Martinez was trying to provide to Felisha Trujillo. According to some, it is a very stupid attempt of providing narcotics.
