ORANGE COUNTY, FLORIDA (BNO NEWS) – The 911 call placed shortly after a shooting in a murder-suicide case was released by Orange County, Florida authorities on Friday.

On Monday, a woman was shot 4 times at her workplace’s parking lot. Alissa Blanton, 23, was shot outside AT&T’s wireless Orlando call center as she was returning to work from her lunch break. The attacker shot himself after murdering Mrs. Blanton.

“I saw this gentleman shooting this woman several times,” said a caller. “ And then it looks like he probably shot himself, because he’s lying on the ground next to her.”

The calls aided the detectives by giving them information that led to the identification of the shooter. Roger Troy, 61, was the man who perpetrated the shooting.

The cause and connection between Blanton and Troy hasn’t been established by the investigators.
