9-years old Kieron Williamson buys his first property
November 7th, 2011 - 7:58 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattLondon, Nov 7 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Kieron Williamson, the 9-year-old renowned British painter, has purchased his first home. The property which is located at Ludham, Norfolk was purchased for £150,000. That is exactly the amount that Kieron realized from his last major exhibition.
Being under-aged, the property will be held in trust for Kieron until he is 18 years old. His parents will move into the building with him until he is old enough to decide who he wants to live with. The family previously lived in a rented flat.
Kieron’s father, Keith, believes that his son has made the ultimate investment towards his future. He was quoted as saying that, “If he decides he wants to do something completely different when he is older, at least he won’t have to worry about a mortgage.”
Kieron caused quite a sensation earlier in the year. During an exhibition of his 33 landscape paintings last July, the entire collection was snapped up in less than half-an-hour. The total amount realized from the exhibition was £150,000. He plans to have another exhibition on Friday at the Picturecraft Gallery in Norfolk. About 12 paintings will go on sale during the exhibition. The artworks are expected to fetch between £1,250 and £15,595.
