alligator There was a surprise visitor for the unsuspecting students of a Tampa middle school on Monday. However, the surprise guest was a rather deadly one. It was an approximately 7-foot gator.

The gator crept around the school grounds prior to its seizure. It was detected at 7 in the morning. This was just prior to the arrival of the students of the Stewart Middle School on Spruce Street.

The Tampa police personnel had understandably been called in to assist in the capture of the encrusted alligator. The police officers also stated that the alligator stayed in the breezeways and opposite the canteen.

Linda Cobbe, who happens to be the spokesperson of the Hillsborough County school, declared that the alligator thankfully did not bump into any student since the consequences of such a meeting could have been disastrous. Linda Cobbe divulged that the students, whose classrooms were situated in close proximity to where the alligator hung around, were transported to the library.

Gary Morse, who happens to be the spokesperson for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, asserted that the police officers had called for a trapper at 7.30 am. A game officer had captured the gator in a rear parking zone by the time the trapper came about shortly subsequent to 8 am. The trapper then extracted the alligator.

Morse articulated that the school is positioned around 100 yards away from the Hillsborough River. Numerous closed barricades segregate the school from the river.

Morse uttered that the alligator may have arrived at the school premises in the previous week and used up the weekend at the school.
