7-11 Celebrates “Free Slurpee Day”

Slurpee has declared the 11th of July, Saturday, to be the Free Slurpee Day across the nation. It is going to be a part of their celebration of the National 7-11 day. It is the 82nd birthday of the famous and popular food chain that had originally started in Dallas, Texas. The coinciding of the name to their ‘birth date’ has been a really innovative touch to the entire thing.
Anyone willing to get a share of their free slurpee at the local 7- 11 will just have to walk in to the joint. Beside the slurpee, one could also enjoy the yummy slushy slurpee treats that are available in the flavors like cola, pina colada, blue raspberry, root beer and green apple. A new slurpee flavor is presently available at the 7- 11 which has been touted as the ‘next best thing’, which is called “Liquid Artillery”. It is a combination of strawberry and pineapple and lime flavors and obviously the ‘brain freezing’ recipe of the Slurpee.
The Free Slurpee Day starts at 7 a.m on Saturday and ends at 11 p.m, with the obvious tag line of “while supplies last”. It is going to be the same at all the 7-11 locations, spread wide across the country. One would be receiving a free 7.11 ounce of the Slurpee in the flavor that is chosen. Anyone preferring to go for the mixed flavor could also go ahead.
7-11 usually runs a free slurpee promotion in keeping with their other summer promotions. This year’s promotion goes hand in hand with the “G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra”, which is going to be released this summer. The new slurpee flavor of “Liquid Artillery” is inspired from the movie.
