Oct 4 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The police in Hayward County, South Carolina are on a mega hunt for a thief who stole 600 pounds of fish from a local trout farm. The owner of the farm, Sally Eason had the shock of her life when she got to know the disappearance of her fish on Thursday, when she went to her Sunburst Trout Farm to harvest her fish and saw that they were almost all gone.

According to CBS News, Eason suggested that the thieves put baits in the fishpond to induce the fish to come onto the surface of the water and harvested them into a waiting car. She also stated that the farm hadn’t been broken into.

“Eason says the thieves baited the water to get the fish to the surface and scooped them out of the water and into some sort of get-away vehicle. She says the locked facility showed no signs of a break-in,” according to reports to CBS News.

The story sounds very interesting because the farm wasn’t broken into in any way and the police shouldn’t have much trouble in locating the thieves, as they will have to put the fish on the market anyway.
