4 year old Dakota Lane stabbed to death with scissors
November 12th, 2010 - 9:49 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattTokyo, Nov 12 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Police have arrested 18 year old Aaron Michael Laconsello for the home invasion incident that resulted in the death of a 4-year-old Dakota Lane. The incident shocked the whole world because of the brutal nature in which it happened.
According to the facts that are available, Dakota, who was sleeping with his senior brother, was stabbed 36 times with a pair of scissor. The mother’s attempt to stop the attacker failed and when Dakota was rushed to the hospital, he was pronounced dead later.
The mother, Stephanie Lane who is eight months pregnant was injured in her attempt to protect the child. She was later treated and discharged at the hospital. The suspect, Laconsello is being held on possible charges of first-degree murder, first-degree burglary and assault with a deadly weapon.
The motive for the attack remains a mystery and the suspect is not known by Stephanie. The Muskogee County District Attorney Larry Moore said that, “In a criminal action, you usually have some answers. It may not be something that someone likes, but you usually have some answers. We don’t have any answers to that”.
The police are continuing their investigation.
