New York, June 22 (THAINDIAN NEWS) After celebrating Father’s Day last weekend, the 22nd of June is observed as the National Chocolate Eclair Day. The origin of how the day came to be observed as such is not clear. The day is observed by several people in the United States.

Éclair is a French word meaning lightning. The dish is one of the sweetest treats around. The dish was first developed in the 1860s and it has been enjoyed over the years. The taste and the popularity of the meal means the bakery shops are not going to stop stocking their shops anytime soon.

An article in Yahoo! News described éclair as “choux pastry, which creates a hollow center when baked. The interior is filled with a vanilla pudding-like substance and a thick layer of chocolate coats the top of the top.”

The Chocolate Éclair Day in the United States is mostly marked with consumers walking to the bakery shop for the sweet. Others who know how to make éclair also try their hands on homemade ones.

June has several other days set aside to recognize one thing or another. V-Mail Delivery Anniversary is marked on the 22nd of June each year as well.
