2011 Ford Explorer Creates A Buzz In The Market

bilde3Chicago, July 27, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Ford which is one of the largest automakers of the USA is back in news and for the right reasons. It recently unveiled the upcoming 2011 Ford Explorer model and the event generated a buzz in the auto industry. The model was unveiled on Monday at downtown Chicago’s Millennium Park. Bill Ford Jr, the chairman of the company was present at the venue and he was accompanied by Patrick Quinn, the Illinois Governor and Richard Daley, the mayor of Chicago. A large crowd gathered at the venue and people were eager to see the new model. If everything goes by schedule, the President of USA Barack Obama will visit the Chicago assembly plant of Ford. This is the plant where the company will begin making this model this year.

The Ford Explorer is one of the best selling SUVs of the USA. The 2011 version has undergone redesign and the company is of the opinion that the facelift and internal changes will result in enhance fuel economy and better performance. The base model will be fitted with a V6 engine instead of the v8 engine. However the engine is powerful enough to pack in a punch according to the company.

It is expected that the new Ford Explorer will be sold at a price of $28995. This will make it cheaper than the 2010 model and lure the buyers. The 2011 Explorer is pitted against the heavyweight contender in the segment Toyota Camry. The 2011 Ford Explorer is getting accolades from the experts for its blend of features and looks in a neat package.
