2 killed in Puerto Rico blowtorch attack

Puerto Rico, Jan 4 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A bizarre blowtorch attack in Puerto Rico has resulted in the death of two people and left nine others injured.

Chandler inhabitant Kate Donahue was unfortunately caught in the attack. The 25-year-old was in Puerto Rico during the New Year with his fiancé.

According to the information made available by the police, an uncle of the fiancé of Kate in rage launched the attack on the remainder of the family. He is said to have soak a cloth in a fuel and wrapped it on a stick.

He then threw propane on the victims and started swinging the lighted blowtorch around. His actions caused the propane fuel to explode and killing two family members instantly. The incident also resulted in the injury to the nine others and they were taken to a hospital in San Juan.

The said uncle has been arrested and police are yet to determine the reason why he carried out such an attack.

The family of Kate have flown to her side at the hospital and they are hoping that she survive the attack. Kate and her fiancé both suffered second and third degree bans. They are currently in coma which was medically induced.
