Florida, Dec 20 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Arnim Ramdass won a $19 million lottery and with it, he left his wife Donna Campbell too. As soon as he cashed the ticket, he stopped paying the house rent and disappeared. His wife can’t find him now and is about to be evicted.

According to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel the financial troubles for the wife started when Arnim Ramdass “bought the winning ticket in a pool with his co-workers, mechanics at the Miami International Airport, in June 2007. The jackpot was worth $19 million, but they collected a lump sum of $10.2 million and, after taxes, each got about $450,000.”

After distributing the cash amongst them, Arnim immediately cut off the connections for the cable, phone and Internet at their home. It later came to light that he had stopped paying the bills and making the house rent as well. Donna Campbell was quite suspicious of the whole thing, and things came to a head when due to non-payment of the house rent, she is now being evicted too.

Donna is a former beauty queen and was runner up in the 1979 Miss Trinidad and Tobago beauty pageant. According to reports she “eventually found out he was hiding his lottery winnings and asked for her share of the money, but he refused. Campbell went to court to fight Ramdass, but lost since she didn’t have any right to Ramdass’ winnings.”
