Jan 18 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A fifteen year old pregnant grammar school girl, and her unborn baby have died after an apparent heart attack after being rushed to the Maritime Hospital in Gillingham. It is not yet known whether her baby girl was still born or died soon after the birth.

Leah La Roche, from Chatham is believed to have suffered a heart attack sometime on Thursday, although it is not clear whether she died at home, or the hospital. Thousands of people have signed up for the Facebook page which was set up for Leah and her baby, whose name was to be ‘Tia’. Her sister, Verity, stated to ‘Gonetoosoon.org, ‘Such a cruel loss of Leah and her beautiful baby Tia, they never got to share life with us.”

On the Facebook, a user posted, ‘Rip, you were taken far too young. Empathy to your family and your boyfriend and his family. Rip with baby Tia,” and another said, “Rest in paradise leah [sic] and baby tia. [sic] You will be sadly missed by a lot of people. You would have been an amazing mum, no doubt.”

Although the spokeswoman for the police could not confirm how far along in the pregnancy Leah was, nor where she was when she died, it is believed that Leah died of “natural causes”. A post mortem test will be conducted, by the police spokeswoman said, “We attended but are not treating the death as suspicious.”
