May 5, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): The police personnel in Texas were involved in a high-speed car chase where it appears that a 12-year-old boy was driving the car. The police personnel have expounded that they received a call around midnight about a suspicious vehicle and they then attempted to pull it over.

The car, which was being driven by a 12-year-old student of the Ross Sterling Middle School, ensured that the police officers ran for about seven miles. The chase continued and passed through numerous neighborhoods before stopping at a dead end on Lee Road in Humble. Apart from the driver, his friend of the same age was also present in the car.

The police personnel have divulged that no one was wounded since it took place at night and there was not a lot of traffic. Only a few persons were on the road.

The driver was indicted with dodging police officers in a motor vehicle while the passenger was indicted with unlawful infringement. The driver was taken into juvenile custody but the passenger was discharged subsequent to the incarceration. Their parents had earlier mentioned that they were missing. When queried about the chase, the driver of the car did not release any reason. However, the passenger explicated that he was endeavoring to run away.

The police officials have remarked that the parents won’t be held accountable for the incident. Nonetheless, the Child Protective Services will scrutinize to see how this could have taken place.
