Los Angeles, Nov 23 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The 1,000 rats that were rescued from a house have been put up for adoption. The rats were housed in a structure that was featured on “Hoarders” in Los Angeles.

The rats were moved to Andy’s Pet Shop with the help of more than 30 volunteers. He pet shop has indicated that they will house the rodents, but on temporary basis. The rats will eventually have to be moved again to another location.

The rats were rescued from a house that housed them. Neighbors called the production team of “Hoarders” to the house after they realized that the house has been taken over by the rats. The rats multiplied very quickly in the house after the house owner’s daughter brought a pregnant rat to the house.

It seems the rates had favorable conditions because after such a small time, they multiplied so much that they literally started tearing the whole house apart.

One of the rescue teams, North Star Rescue offered to give out some of the rats to anybody who comes forward and express an interest in sheltering the rodents. The person must however be ready to properly care for the animal.
