1 Kilogram Cocaine Found in Hollowed-Out Bologna

bolognaAug 30, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Holyoke Police recently arrested a 30-year-old Massachusetts man in connection with drug trafficking when a hollowed-out bologna delivered to his home was found to contain one kilogram of cocaine hidden in it. The police have brought Cocaine trafficking charges against the man and is conducting a further investigation into the matter to find the nexus working. As per reports, the police department has mentioned that the street value of the seized cocaine is around $100,000.

The Holyoke police have mentioned to media sources that it was guided by the postal inspectors in Puerto Rico who have many a times in the past dealt with such shipment cases. The suspicion surrounding the packaged bologna was confirmed by sniffer dogs who gave positive nods to its containing drugs. The bologna was cut open the police who found the packed cocaine inside it. However, the police wanted to get to the root of the affair and arrest the culprit and therefore the meat was repackaged. The meat was then delivered at the provided address at about 4:45 p.m. on Thursday by an undercover postal inspector. It was reportedly received by a lady of a Holyoke house who sitting on the front steps. The lady reportedly signed the needed postal papers to take the delivery.

It is only after the package was delivered that the police executed a search and arrest warrant and arrested a man from the house of cocaine trafficking charges. As per reports, the police also confiscated a semi-automatic pistol, fifteen rounds of ammunition and $125 in cash. The bail for the arrested man was set at $250,000 and was scheduled to be arraigned in Holyoke District Court on Friday.
