New Delhi, April 16 (IANS) Zoom Developers, the flagship company of 14-year-old Zoom Enterprises, will enter the education sector by setting up a hotel management institute in Arunachal Pradesh. “Arunachal Pradesh is paying special attention to tourism education, taking steps to promote it by public and private partnership. We wanted to explore the opportunities in this untapped market,” Zoom Developers CEO Rumneek Bawa told IANS Wednesday.
The company has already tied up with the Waii Group for operations and management of the institute that will be operational next year, he said.
Bawa said the project would cater to the importance and demand of the tourism education sector and provide the manpower required by the booming hospitality sector in Arunachal Pradesh capital Itanagar as well as the rest of India.
“Initially we are targeting Itanager with this institute. We plan to open at least four more institutes elsewhere in the country,” said the company’s business development head Rameet Trehan.
The group is already working on a project to set up 12 budget hotels under the Indian Railways.
