Young tabla prodigy enthrals CWG audience
October 3rd, 2010 - 9:12 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Oct 3 (IANS) With his curly locks, Keshava, a seven-year-old tabla player, mesmerized the thousands at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium here Sunday during the Commonwealth Games opening.
As the event got off to a glittering start, the Puducherry boy’s fingers flew fast and furious over the tabla keeping pace with one thousand drummers.
Dressed in a silk kurta-pyjama, he was a star attraction of the “Rhythms of India” segment. Naturally, he earned a loud applause from the spectators.
Keshava began playing the tabla when he was just two years old.
