World’’s largest crossword built on tower block in UkraineJanuary 10th, 2009 - 4:57 pm ICT by ANI
London, January 10 (ANI): The worlds biggest crossword, boasting to be more than 100ft high, has been put together on the side of a tower block in Ukraine.
Clues to the massive puzzle, which is 19 squares across and 34 squares high, have been sprinkled around major landmarks and attractions, including parks, fountains, and theatres, in the historic city of Lvov.
The literary challenge encouraged participants to test their grey matter during their weekend promenades, providing them with an opportunity to work out their brains and their legs at the same time.
And since the brainteaser was too huge to be penned by hand, solutions are lighted in fluorescent letters at night, reports the Telegraph.
The idea was to allegedly make partakers collect themselves outside the tower block each night to match or correct their answers.
The giant crossword, that fills the entire external wall of the residential building, was formed in a bid to lure more tourists to the city. (ANI)
