World large enough to accomodate ambitions of India and China: PM
October 27th, 2010 - 2:11 pm ICT by ANIKuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Oct. 27 (ANI): Visiting Indian Prime Minister Dr. manmohan Singh on Wednesday said that the world is large enough to accomodate the demands, ambitions and aspirations of both India and China, the two economic giants of Asia.
Delivering a lecture at Khazana, Malaysia’s apex business body, Dr. Singh said: “India and China are both fast growing economies , China happens to be largest trading partner of India, even though the trade is unbalanced. We welcome the growth of change and the economic interaction between the two countries.”
“I am often asked this question — are India and China in competition — and my answer to that question, wherever I go, is that, I sincerely believe that there are enormous possibilities for our two countries to work together.”
“I look upon the world as a large enough place to accommodate the growth ambitions of both India and China, and in this sense, we approach India-China relations,” Dr. Singh said. (ANI)
