Santo Domingo, Oct 11 (IANS/EFE) A woman killed another in a dispute over negative comments posted by one of them on Facebook, the Dominican police said Monday.
The incident occurred Sunday night at a party in Santo Domingo’s Villa Duarte sector, though police were not clear about which of the two posted the remark that sparked the fight.
The note said that the victim, 20-year-old Cristina Cabrera, got angry with Bety Morel Bilomal for putting the remark on Facebook.
Morel, who is wanted by the police, then allegedly attacked Cabrera, who later died at Dario Contreras Hospital.
But the note added that, according to a witness questioned by detectives, it was Morel who demanded that Cabrera explain why she posted negative comments about her on the social networking site, and that was when the dispute started.
