Woman hacks two preschoolers to death in Chna

Guangzhou, March 4 (Xinhua) A 40-year-old woman, believed to be mentally challenged, hacked two preschoolers to death and injured four people in a village in China’s Guangdong province, the police said.
Xu Ximei, a resident of Mazhan village, carried out the killings with a kitchen knife Tuesday at the gate of the village primary school and inside the school, a police spokesman said, citing witnesses.

Xu was found lying on the ground in a classroom when police arrived at the school, the spokesman said. She is under detention.

Two preschool boys, four-year-old Chen Chuantang and six-year-old Zhong Gaodong, died, the spokesman said.

Four people were being treated at a hospital in Nanxiong city, including Yang Xiaoyan, 10, Zou Chunlan, 6, Chen Lufeng, 6, and Zhong Gaodong’s grandmother, 76-year-old Chen Shangqiong.
