Georgia, April 7 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A Georgian woman stumbled upon an old winning lottery ticket when she decided to clean her purse. The ticket had the winning numbers 18, 25, 28, 29, 35 and was worth $189,000.

Rhonda Williams was delighted when she made the find. The Fantasy 5 ticket is from a 17th of January drawing. She has already figured out what she is going to do with the amount that she has won.

The 55-year-old was interviewed by WSB TV. She said that, “I found the ticket this weekend while cleaning out my purse. I went online to check the ticket, and I just sat there for a moment.”

Rhonda said that she would settle some bills in her life and consider taking a luxury cruise.

Rhonda is one lucky winner because winning a lottery is not enough to guarantee that you would have the money. Many people never get to realize that they have won a lottery after their numbers are drawn. Others also miss their prize when they find out that their winning ticket is missing. Winning amounts which are not claimed are eventually paid into the State of Georgia Education trust which is used to funds some educational programs including giving scholarships to students with financial needs. So far about $12.3 billion has been paid into the trust.
