Woman drug trafficker jailed in UAE
January 29th, 2012 - 9:48 pm ICT by IANSDubai, Jan 29 (IANS) A 29-year-old Namibian woman has been jailed for 10 years in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) after two kg of cocaine was found in her possession.
The unnamed woman came from Brazil and was on her way to Mozambique via Dubai, the Gulf News reported Sunday.
Though the report did not say where the woman was caught, it said the narcotics in five plastic pouches were found hidden in her underwear and shoes.
She was also fined 50,000 dirhams (around $13,000) and will be deported at the end of her sentence.
