images48Dec 22, (THAINDIAN NEWS) On Tuesday evening, employees at the Charlotte ABC had an harrowing experience, especially employees of WSOC-TV. The disturbance took place after a woman appeared in the building threatening to end her life with a gun. The incident affected WSOC-TV as employees at the TV station had to stop the broadcasting program for sometime. Later on police arrived at the spot and took control over the situation after they arrested the lady. The woman was later identified as Wendy Cosby Naidas.

According to station manager Joe Pomilla, the woman threatened to take her life. He added that it was evident that the woman had no grudge against the station. She was possibly in sort of financial distress as she started venting out her problems mentioning that she badly needed help. The woman had reportedly approached the building before 5 p.m and when the security guard of the building approached her she took the gun out and put it to her head threatening that she would end up her life. Panic seized the WSOC employees and they called emergency help. A WSOC employee said that due to the incident the news casting was topped partially for about 10 minutes and then finally went completely off air.

After the SWAT team arrived they evacuated the building and took the woman with them. Apparently, the building employees were instructed to evacuate the building through an e-mail alert. Bob Fey of the police team said that after they searched her, they found the gun to be empty. It seems that the woman thought of the station as a right place to narrate her tale of misery, hoping to gather some help.
