Without endorsing any party, Zed asks Hindu-Americans to enthusiastically vote
November 1st, 2010 - 5:44 pm ICT by ANINevada (US), Nov 1 (ANI): Without endorsing any particular political party, eminent Hindu statesman Rajan Zed has asked the roughly three-million American Hindus to come out and vote hundred percent in November two US midterm election.Zed, who is the president of Universal Society of Hinduism, in a statement in Nevada (USA) today, said that heavens never sent political decrees to be executed by us humans. Hindus did not need endorsements as they were well versed with the concept of dharma (righteousness) and could distinguish it from adharma (unrighteousness) while choosing which candidate or measure/amendment to vote for.Rajan Zed pointed out that religion was something sacred and spiritual and should not be dragged into materialistic objectives like partisan politics. Moreover, Sanskrit scriptures like Atharva-veda, Aitareya Brahmana, Arthasastra of Kautilya, Santiparvan in Mahabharata, Barhaspatya Arthasastra, Nitisara, etc., had well educated the Hindus to make wise political decisions. But, Zed stressed, it was important that all eligible Hindu Americans must stand up and vote to speak up their minds, control their futures, and command respect.(ANI)
