Winehouse to buy 3.2 mn pound mansion

Amy Winehouse London, May 21 (IANS) Troubled British singer Amy Winehouse is to buy a 3.2 million- pound mansion in the Caribbean island of St. Lucia.
Winehouse who is living on the island while she writes new material for her future album wants to make her stay permanent there by splashing out on a luxurious home, reports contactmusic.com.

The singer is interested in a 2.5-acre beachside estate called Shingle Cove, which has six bedrooms, six bathrooms, a swimming pool, security guards and is staffed 24-hours a day.

Winehouse, 25, has been renting a similar property over the past few months as she overcomes her problems with drugs, alcohol and breakdown from her marriage to Blake Fielder-Civil.

“I’m in the best place I’ve been for ages. I’m getting lots of exercise and have been able to relax,” she said.
