London, July 17 (IANS) Troubled British singer Amy Winehouse may end up paying her ex-husband Blake Fielder-Civil $3.6 million as a divorce settlement after she admitted cheating on him during their marriage.
Winehouse’s two-year marriage with Fielder-Civil ended Thursday when at London’s High Court a judge granted the couple decree nisi. It means if no further evidence is submitted to the court within the next six weeks, their divorce will be formally rubber-stamped, reported contactmusic.com.

Fielder-Civil filed for divorce in January, citing Winehouse’s adultery after he saw pictures of her with another man on holiday in St Lucia. And after Thursday’s hearing, it emerged Winehouse had confessed to cheating on her husband.

In court papers, Winehouse was asked: “Do you admit the adultery alleged in the petition?”, and she said: “Yes”.

No name is given for the person she had an affair with.

Fielder-Civil, who now lives in Nottinghamshire, has also said that he finds it “intolerable” living with the singer and they have not shared a home since April 2008.

Winehouse, who has an estimated $17 million fortune, has agreed to pay for the cost of the divorce proceedings.
