Prince William London, May 02 (ANI): It has emerged that the Duke and the Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Kate, decided “weeks ago” to postpone their honeymoon following frenzied speculation about where they would begin their married life.

Royal aides insisted there had been “no last-minute change of plan” as the couple announced their decision to limit their immediate holiday to a weekend break in Britain.

The newly-wed is expected to return home to Anglesey on Monday after spending barely 48 hours at a secret location. Prince William is due back at work on Tuesday in his job as an RAF Search and Rescue pilot.

The announcement after the royal wedding of a postponed honeymoon led to inevitable speculation over security fears about any intended destination. But royal sources insisted that the decision had been the couple’s alone.

“It was the couple’s personal choice. They decided on this approach a number of weeks ago,” the Daily Mail quoted one insider as saying. (ANI)
