Why Mills dumped glass of water all over Maccas lawyerMarch 19th, 2008 - 5:13 pm ICT by admin
London, March 19 (ANI): Heather Mills has come clean on why she dumped a glass of water on ex-hubby Sir Paul McCartneys high-priced divorce attorney Fiona Shackleton.
The former model got so angry at Shackleton during the proceedings on March 17, she shocked the court by soaking the solicitor.
And now, the animal rights activist has admitted that she was prompted into action because the lawyer had “put me through hell for two years”.
Describing the moment when she marched up to the shocked Shackleton and drenched her, Mills said: I said ‘I’m not a loser’ and then I poured the whole jug of water on her head. I was very calm,” she said.
According to Mills lawyer David Rosen, the moment can be best described that Heather unceremoniously “baptised” Shackleton.
“All I know is that there were not any shower facilities and her hair seemed to be quite wet. It was an undignified wet, Rosen said.
On how Shackleton reacted, Rosen said: “There were no screaming matches, just her wet hair. It was like a waterfall, it was like a tap. I cannot say what was going on in Heather’s mind, but she must have been provoked in some way.
“She felt that Fiona Shackleton had behaved in general in an undignified way towards her, he added.
Addressing the possibility of Mills facing contempt of court proceedings, he joked: “I think the whole thing will just trickle away.” He praised his client’s handling of the six-day hearing and described both Macca and Heather as devoted parents.
“She did better than many barristers in court. This woman did admirably. She did the absolute best she could. She got the result she envisaged. I’m telling you she’s delighted with the result.
“She may have asked for PS125million but she was working on the premise that if you don’t ask, you don’t get. She’s had her day in court and it cannot go any further, he added. (ANI)
