Whitney Houston on shopping spree in London
July 17th, 2009 - 1:07 pm ICT by IANSLondon, July 17 (IANS) Singer Whitney Houston, who is working on a comeback after spending years struggling with drug addiction, went on a shopping spree here and picked up lots of stuff for her daughter.
The singer was in town to launch her comeback album “I Look To You”, her first in seven years. Contactmusic.com reports that after the event, Houston was treated to shopping for whatever she wanted by Sir Philip Green at his Topshop store.
“Whitney grabbed bags and bags of stuff, but only chose one item of clothing for herself. She was overheard saying her daughter likes Topshop, so chose everything for her — except for a Union Jack cardigan for herself.
“Whitney looked ecstatic, and happily posed with staff for pictures and signed autographs for them. Sir Philip gave all of the staff crisp 50 pounds notes as a thank you for staying on,” said a source.
