Washington, April 13 (ANI): A group of US women, who call themselves Bourbon Women and share an affinity for Kentucky’s signature whiskey, has said that they too can enjoy whiskey and the lifestyle that accompanies it.

“I think there’s this sense of relief that finally we were at a point where we can be taken seriously as women who enjoy bourbon and the lifestyle that accompanies it,” the Fox News quoted Mary Quinn Ramer, a founding board member, as saying.

“That it’s just not for men anymore,” said Ramer from Lexington.

Peggy Noe Stevens Stevens, a former whiskey industry executive, is the founder of the group.

The group will offer plenty of chances for bourbon tastings, distillery visits and girls’ nights out, along with tips on new bourbon-laced recipes and how to liven up parties. (ANI)
