Whip says it is still in good terms with Coalition Government
July 10th, 2008 - 2:59 pm ICT by Amrit RashmisrisethiChairman of the Government Whip Samart Kaewmeechai (สามารถ แก้วมีชัย) stated that the Whip’s relationship to the People Power Party and the coalition government is still on strong positive terms despite the Whip having to aid in the dissolution of certain parties. Mr. Samart stated that the coalition parties understand that circumstances for the dissolutions are based on legal terms. He said that other than the PPP 3 other parties also have cases for dissolution including Matchima Thipataya, Chart Thai and Puea Paendin.
The Whip will meet as usual this coming Monday and will speak of the current political situation. Mr. Samart also stated that the Phrea Vihear issue should be clarified this afternoon after the Foreign Affairs Minister conducts his press conference.
