London, Dec. 18 (ANI): Sir Alex Ferguson played an unlikely role of serving delicacies at a Christmas bash organised by the youngsters of Manchester United.

Fergie and his backroom team were on spuds and sprouts duty at the Carrington training ground bash, where the kids mock their superstar club-mates.

The bash this year was Strictly Come Dancing-themed and those who were mocked included Wayne Rooney and Nani, The Sun reports.

One Under-18 rookie came on stage wearing Rooney’s shirt, imitating the striker’s Sky TV programme Street Striker.

He used the Strictly theme to show ‘Wayne’ having a go at a dance partner, ranting: “You’re not good enough, you won’t cut it.”

The next target was Nani. A youngster joked about his close friendship with Cristiano Ronaldo.

He showed ‘Nani’ appearing on the stage hugging a picture of Ronaldo, with a lead and no one to walk him. He was seen sobbing his heart out at Ronaldo’s departure.

The kids also made fun of the fact that “non-essential” staff are no longer entitled to free toast, tea and porridge. The youngsters flooded the stage, rooting through cupboards for food, insisting they were starving.

Fitness coach Tony Strudwick was mocked with jokes that he does anything for midfielder Michael Carrick.

Fergie and his staff were seen roaring with laughter, before the boss served the Christmas lunch.

A Carrington insider revealed: “It’s the only time of the year the players get to give orders to management, but I’m sure he’ll get his own back!” (ANI)
