London, Sep 6 (IANS) Pop singer Christina Aguilera almost lost the lyrics to her new song, after writing the track on a napkin which was cleared away by a waiter.
The “Candyman” singer felt inspired to write the track while she was dining at Los Angeles’ Osteria Mozza Italian restaurant and since she couldn’t find any paper she decided to put the lyrics on a napkin, reports contactmusic.com.
When Christina and her husband Jordan Bratman had finished eating, the waiter came to remove the dirty dishes and the pop star failed to notice he had also cleared the napkin away.
“Christina wasn’t looking when the busboy took the inked-up napkin. When she realised it was missing she ran after him,” said a source.
The 28-year-old blonde, however, caught up with the waiter before the napkin could be thrown away.
“Christina explained to the waiter what had happened and she found the napkin on top of a plate, unharmed,” the source further informed.
Aguilera’s fourth studio album “Light and Darkness” is set to be released later this year.
The Grammy award-winning singer has revealed the new material was inspired by giving birth to her son Max Liron in January 2008.
