October 17th, 2010 - 1:50 pm ICT by ANIWellington, Oct 17 (ANI): A group of Whakatane bakers have apparently set a record for the biggest cake ever baked.
The cake is in the shape of a snake, measuring 62.34 metres.
The cake was baked in one-metre sections, reports the New Zealand Herald.
As many as eight people prepared the cake in 22 hours.
They used 800 eggs, 82 kg of sugar and 82 kg of sponge mix in the cake.
The effort raised just over 2000 dollars for the Fresh Future Children’s Hospital Appeal. (ANI)
