Vidic wants to bury Torres hoodoo

London, Feb.28 (ANI): Manchester United’s Nemanja Vidic appears intent on burying his Fernando Torres hoodoo, when his team clashes with Chelsea on Tuesday.
Ever since the Spanish striker destroyed him at Old Trafford two years ago in a 4-1 drubbing at the hands of Liverpool, people have questioned the Serb’s ability to handle him.
Well, against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge tomorrow, the Manchester United captain is determined to prove he has no problems with Carlos Ancelotti’s new 50-million-pound star.
The Sun quoted Vidic, as saying: “Sometimes I read in the papers people saying I have a hard time against a particular player but that makes me focus even more on doing my job properly. I’m just trying to do the best I can and in the end the fans and the media will form their own opinions. I can’t change these opinions by talking, I can only change them by what I do on the pitch.”
United’s 4-0 win at Wigan left them four points clear of Arsenal at the top.
So victory over champions Chelsea tomorrow will mark a giant stride towards a record 19th title for the club. (ANI)
