Venkaiah Naidu blames Congress policies for terrorism

New Delhi, March 26 (IANS) Policies of the Congress party during five decades of its rule were responsible for the rise of terrorism in the country, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) general secretary M. Venkaiah Naidu told reporters here Wednesday. “The Congress has no moral right to criticise the BJP on terrorism. It is the mother and father of terrorist growth in this country. Its short-sighted policies during its five decades of rule since Independence are responsible for this,” said Naidu.
Naidu cited examples to substantiate his allegation.
In the state of Jammu and Kashmir, terrorism and other problems arose as then home minister Sardar Patel was not given a free hand at the time of Independence, he said.
In Punjab, Bhindrawale - who led the terrorists - was a creation of the Congress. The party funded the Tamil separatist group Liberation Tigers of Tamil Ealam (LTTE), Naidu alleged.
“The Congress party is responsible for Naxalism in the country as it gave them political credibility,” he said.
The BJP leader warned the Congress not to bring up the issue of terrorism, as it will boomerang on them.
The Congress party has launched a tirade against the BJP, alleging that the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government had a soft stand on terrorism that led to the attack on parliament, on Akshardham temple and other terror strikes in the country.
The Congress Tuesday called BJP leader L.K. Advani the weakest home minister ever.

BJP has dealings with terrorists, obviously they receive hundreds of crores. The same BJP government gave Safe Passage to terrorists through Indian soil to end the Kargil war as announcement of elections was near - twisted lies as a victory. Israelis would have shot them when half way thru Even today 3 peaks are with the Pakis. 5 top fighters were allowed to be shot down by ill trained Mujahideen while their leaders were negotiating commissions for much needed equipmnet for the Army. It took 77 days and more than 1000 soldiers lives to remove 700-800 terrorists, of whom 400 were given safe passge on eve of elections to end the war. Earlier same BJP took record quick decision to let top terrorist leaders safe passage to Afghanistan when a plane was hijacked. Every state its corrupt, No Schools or Hospitals only temples to fool people, hundreds of crores collected for the Ayodhya temple into BJP leaders pockets. 1000 BJP supporters attack and kick pregnant women and burn children in Gujarat and other states. Is this what India wants?
